Places to Stay

  1. Crescent Hotel – This IS the place to at least visit if not stay. The Crescent is know as one of the most haunted hotels in America. Perched high above Eureka Springs, Arkansas is the 1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa, a palatial structure and landmark hotel known widely in the Ozark Mountains as the “symbol of hospitality” for the State of Arkansas. The full-service Crescent Hotel features 72 rooms with upscale suites. Guests enjoy the resort activities, hot tub, swimming pool, New Moon Spa & Salon, Crystal Dining Room, SkyBar Gourmet Pizza, concierge and bellman service and 15 acres of manicured gardens with hiking, biking and walking trails that loop through the city and pass the city Dog Park, Skate Park and City Playground. You can see the Christ of the Ozark statue all lit up at night as well.
  2. 1905 Basin Park Hotel – Located on Spring St, the Basin was once the tallest building in ES. It is now one of the landmarks of the shopping district. You can chose from several guest suites including spa suites. Enjoy dining on the outdoor roof top patio overlooking downtown. The Basin Park is a sister hotel to the Crescent.
  3. The Woods Cabins Chic and private cabins located in walking distance to downtown. The cabins offer 1 and 2 bedroom accommodations as well as hot tub on property. Perfect for a romantic escape. Bikers welcome.
  4.  The Waterloo – Originally opened as a campground, in the late 1920’s, Ray and Chloe (Boatright) Freeman named the property “Camp Joy” as travelers who were touring the Ozarks were so delighted with the setting, they started asking for a public bath & a pool. The pool, the largest in the Arkansas area, was completed in 1933 along with the first permanent structure, a changing room which was followed by clusters of charming rock cabins placed throughout Camp Joy. Three of these cabins, along with the Freeman Bungalow home, still stand today & have since been renovated to full usage. Subsequently, the property changed hands and was named Mount Joy and Joy Motor Court. The property evolved to where the majority of cabins were removed & replaced by the three conjoined Motel buildings built in sequence beginning in 1954, with the third and final one completed in 1974. In 2017, Tim Freeman, great grandson of Ray and Chloe Freeman, bought and purchased the property. The name was changed to Wanderoo Lodge where many updates and renovations have been made. The property again changed hands to her new owners who have continued to improve on the property.  Be sure to check out the Gravel Bar restaurant for tapas and drink.
